Austin JDM is proud to offer this exceptionally clean and rare Mazdaspeed Autozam AZ-1. Powered by a turbocharged 657cc inline three cylinder engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, only 4392 AZ-1s were produced between 1992 and 1994 before Japan's economic recession forced an end to the Kei roadster.
In even more limited numbers, the A-spec or Mazdaspeed versions numbered only about 150. The A-spec cars were meant to showcase the host of modifications offered by the Mazdaspeed division and included a different hood, front and rear valances, spoiler, sport suspension, limited slip differential, stainless and ceramic exhaust and a performace intake.
Odometer reads a confirmed 33,535 kilometers which is only 20,837 original miles. Oil and fluid changes were performed in September of 2022 along with a general maintenance inspection.
